CREATION

Through many nights my heart in my chest ached to know great things. I longed to fly, to experience things greater than myself. I yearned to shine brighter than the sun. I hungered for something greater than myself, for delights beyond my ability to experience. I wanted my heart to swell in love, but where could I go? Who could help me? To what cause could I surrender myself to? What relationship could satisfy me? I searched and searched, and asked myself all these questions and many more.

I said to myself in my heart: I will cause myself to go to the beginning of time and discover the beginning of all things. Who knows what secret lies there? Perhaps I will discover some wonderful ore hidden in the depths of a dark cave where no man has gone. Who knows if I am a great king and do not know it? Is it my destiny to discover things other men have not seen, and to go to distances no man has ever traveled? Perhaps I am a destined to rule and am unaware. Or is my life worthless and I am just filling up space? Was I meant to be mediocre? Is that all that there is? For all men must die together with the animals and the dumb tree that does not speak or hear. So why is man better than a worm? Why is man better than a rock?? If there is no greater reason, life is brutal and mean, and I wish I had been born stupid. I wish I had been born a rock.

I went back, and behold, I saw brightness! More than that, I saw a Being – One. Not something, but Someone – a Person with emotions, mind and will. He was indescribable. He was brighter than the sun and His brightness was the joy of His face. Behold, He was love, and He loved me. I cried because I could not contain the delights that passed through my heart and mind. I lost strength. I was breathless, and fell as if dead. He gently touched me with His hand and said, “I will let you watch, My dear one, and I will reveal to your heart the deep secret of all things. For you have found abundant favor in My sight, My darling, and are My favorite one of all.” Strength entered me and somehow I was able to stand, to gaze, and to understand. In His presence, the ability to stand felt like the greatest miracle I had yet experienced.

So, I gazed.

This One was without limits and His radiance shone so brightly it would take an endless amount of time and all power and understanding to search Him out and to experience all the depths of His light and being. In fact, I realized that He was so great one would have to be another of Him to know Him fully. Only an Eternal One could know an eternal One. But behold!!! There is one Other, just like Him. And behold! Another One still. I thought there was only One, but behold, there are Three!!! One loves the Other and Another searches the One and reveals the Other. The Other is the very image of the One and Another is the breath of their communion, their love, and is the very essence of the One and the Other. What is the difference? They are all the One – just as bright, just as endless, just as great, just as bold, just as untamable, just as loving… Behold, He is love and a Lion! They are love! This One, He is Three. Oh, the depths! Oh, the mystery!

I was swept away by the waves of this Endless Ocean. Before the beginning of time there was a forever – how could this be? – and behold, He is Forever. Behold, I must have been there for billions of years. It was impossible for me to tell, for time did not yet exist. But He already was. Before time He was! This One, He is God. Oh the depths of His riches, of His love, His joy. If one were to give all the riches of the world – say, an angel would hand Him all the kingdoms of the earth – it would be utterly scorned. The one who thinks all the riches of the earth are in any way great – what a fool is he! He is blind and stupid beyond belief. Is there hope for one this blind? This One, He is worthy of all.

And I watched Him as He created all – angels, time, and universe. Thousands upon thousands served Him. There were servants beyond numbering before the One who sits on the Throne that was exalted before time. He created time and holds it in His hands – all of it, even its edges, the edges of time! He is the Beginning and the End. All fall down and worship Him! Who can make war against Him? Who can withstand Him?

And I saw Him stretch out His arms. All the angels were quieted in awe and fear. Something great and unimaginable had been stirring in His mind. He breathed, and behold, a great realm was created. Suddenly, there was space. Power, fire and brightness swept each other in greatness. The heavens were created and stretched out by Him. The stars were each placed in the heavens by His hand. He painted each one with His paintbrush and with only a few of the colors of heaven He created breathtaking wonders. As I looked at the greatness of many of the greater galaxies and stars, I noticed that they did not move Him tremendously. I was taken away and overwhelmed the display of power but He wasn’t. He looked elsewhere… to one of the smaller galaxies, and His eyes fell in love with one the smaller planets. I could see that He cared deeply for it. It was almost as if He had a plan for it, but I was quickly distracted by the sudden loud sound of thumping I heard behind me.

I looked and I saw the myriads and myriads of angels all falling down on their faces as they beheld the greatness of the Creator. All of them, like dominoes, fell down. Even the greatest ones were so weak before Him. They were as nothing before Him.

The Great Father had created many servants to attend to Him, His Son and His Flame, Who is His Holy Spirit. But these poor little ones, no matter how majestic, were often overwhelmed by His shining light. They would fall on their faces for millions and sometimes billions of years at a time – breathless, overwhelmed by joy and without strength. Some of these majestic ones were more powerful than the stars the Great Father had created, but even if just a ray of His endless wonder and majesty would hit them, they would collapse, and their frame would almost burn out like a bulb surged with too much electricity. So vast was He.

Therefore, in His mercy, They wrapped Themselves in unapproachable light and covered Himself with dark clouds so as to not destroy these precious and delightful little ones, His servants. For next to Him they were but a grain of sand next to the sun. In fact, they were smaller still. For who can know the measure of God? Certainly even an angel is limited. Even an angel has its edges. His being is small and cannot go on forever in age, in power, in enjoyment, in power of life, and in love.

So He hid Himself, especially the hottest part of His flame, for He had not made them to be so near. True, these servants were loved, but not one had ever been kissed. None of them were His favorite one, and they would never be kissed. The Great Father had determined it; He established it forever. The Great Father made dark clouds His secret place and His canopy around Him was dark waters. They peered but could not see. There was a boundary line they simply could not pass. They were not allowed. They could never get that close. The Great One had determined: it was simply too close.

But at one point, the highest created being, Lucifer, the musical star, said to himself, “I will raise myself above all the stars of Heaven and I will be like the Most High. I will exalt myself and sit on His throne. I will cause myself to be consumed by His secret flame.” Lucifer convinced a third of all His servants and led them in a rebellion. Oh, what a great act of disobedience. The Most High is the One who speaks to the waves, “You will go thus far and no more,” and they stop. Who can withstand His command? Who would dare to exalt themselves to be like the Most High? But Lucifer attempted the unthinkable.

They marched forward in rage and in pride, preparing themselves for battle, but only to their loss. The Eternal One quickly put down the rebellion. What made them think that they could overcome Him? break through His command? bind Him? force Him to do their will? Therefore, He prepared for them a terrible place: Sheol. Hell, a small and crowded place compared to heaven. Forever they would be there burning in anguish, without delight and in deep darkness. All they had was nothing and hatred, and their worm consumed them forever and ever. So great was their sin and their rebellion against the Most High.

Many ages after the storm in the great palace, and after the cool of His Breeze refreshed all His servants, they began to see an intense stirring within Him. Behold, a great storm of fire within Himself began to swirl. He enlarged His Throne to the right and to the left. It was almost as if He was preparing it for many to sit with Him. The angels were filled with awe, wonder and terror, even great terror, at the small whisks of the great storm of fire. Who could stand in the presence of this fire and not be utterly consumed? This storm was as the appearance of the likeness of a whirlwind of fire engulfing itself – great, marvelous and terrifying. They trembled and fell on their faces, for even they were too weak to behold this. But behold, there was quietness and meekness in the center of the hurricane. It shone brightly blue and red, and the swirl around its center was fire and a rainbow mingled together.

The Thunder spoke, “We will create one according to Our image.”

“For I will have many sons,” said the Father.

“I will have a bride,” the Son expressed.

“And I will dwell in them forevermore,” said the Spirit.

“For My bride will be equally yoked with me forever and ever and she will sit on My Throne with Me. And I wish to give My Father many sons.”

“For I wish to give My Son a wife worthy of Him, and I wish to have many sons, co-heirs with My Son, ruling with Me forever and ever.”

“For I desire to reveal the deep things of the Father and the Son to them forever and ever. For it is My delight to delight Myself in Him and in her.”

The angels were in awe. The little ones were so stunned they were almost filled with disbelief. But behold, there was deep sadness in His eyes, and many tears began to roll down His face. His whole being shook and all the joy of heaven suddenly turned into gloom. God cried. The angels, the little ones, became desperate. What could they do? They felt hopeless for a little while, and all of Heaven was filled with a dark cloud.

“They will betray Us and leave Us for another – Lucifer.” I could not believe in what I was hearing. Finally, there would be a being that would cross past the boundary line, and be His favorite one. Somehow, the Rock would be moved by a created being. But this being, this bride, would forsake him for Lucifer. And He knew it before hand. How could He have the emotional strength to create her still?

“You must offer Yourself for her,” said the Father to the Son. “You must take on her form forever, and become as weak as they will be, so that You may redeem humanity back to Us.”

“I will offer Myself,” said the Son. “I will take on her form, forever, and I will redeem many of the ones who will fall. For she is My favorite one, and I will show her the depths of My kindness forever.” Right then and there the Son offered Himself. The Great King, who dwells above the highest heavens, walked like a Lamb and a Slave. And He was willing to submit to suffering and even death that He might redeem her from all her lovers. “Though she is unfaithful, I will be faithful to her, even to the end,” the Son explained. “Though she is a thorny bush, I will set her on fire forever but she will not be consumed. She will be higher than all the angels and will rule over them. And I will love her and she will love Us, and be with Us for days without end.”

““For in My gentleness I will raise her above all the angels of Heaven and she will share in the likeness of the Most High. I will exalt her and will cause many to sit with Me on My throne. I will cause her to be consumed by My secret flame.”

“Behold her, you angels, servants of the Most High, that you might understand the depths of My riches, My inner fire, for all ages to come. In this way You may behold My inner fire,” said the His Holy Spirit.

So, He created her: man and woman He created them.

And in the depths of His heart He said to Himself, “Though she’ll betray Me and spit in My face and run after other lovers and offer herself to them like a harlot, I will never leave her nor forsake her utterly. I will bring her back and she will never again seek broken cisterns. I will bring her back to Me with chords of lovingkindness and tender mercies and with jealous, jealous love. For adultery causes a Husband’s fury, and a deep, deep flame burns in me. I AM the Flame. Therefore, I will pursue her with tenderness and with fury. In My rage I will destroy her lovers and in My deep displeasure I will cause them to suffer forever in a lake of fire. Those who join Lucifer will join his fate in the lake of fire and will burn in anguish forever. And they will have no rest. But I will have My beloved with me forever, a pure and spotless bride, dwelling with Me in Everlasting Burnings forevermore.”
